biography
Hailing from Singapore, Elizabeth Goh is a classical pianist who is known not only for her sensitive pianism, but also her intellect and curiosity as an artist. Currently, she is a second-year Master student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under the tutelage of David Kuyken and Frank van de Laar, with support from the Jacques Vonk Fonds. There, she also specialises in contemporary repertoire with Ralph van Raat.
Previously, she studied in School of The Arts Singapore under Timothy Ku and Lim Yan, where she also received the Ngee Ann-Kongsi Scholarship for the full duration of her studies. In 2019 she was recipient of the SOTA-NAK Outstanding Young Artist Award for her excellence in leadership, academic and artistic excellence.
In 2018, Elizabeth debuted as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) in Singapore, where she performed Poulenc’s Concerto for two pianos and orchestra and a year later, Gershwin’s Concerto in F. Elizabeth has won prizes in competitions such as 2nd prize in the Schimmel International Piano Competition (GER) and clinched 3rd prize in Vivace piano ensemble competition (SG). She has had masterclasses with renowned pianists and musicians such as Pascal Roge, Ralf Gothóni, Alexander Kandelaki, Janusz Olejniczak, Marc Danel and more.
Elizabeth performs actively in The Netherlands, as a soloist and chamber musician, in venues such as Muziegebouw aan ‘t IJ and TivoliVredenburg. This November, she made her debut in The Netherlands, performing the Ravel Concerto in G major with the CvA Symphony Orchestra in PHIL Haarlem. She is also one of four finalists for Dutch Classical Talent, where she will be touring the largest music venues in The Netherlands in the season 2026/2027.
A versatile pianist, her passion lies in bringing lesser-known repertoire to audiences at home and abroad. Some of her projects include “Rumah”, with soprano Madeline Saputra – a programme of Singaporean and Indonesian classical music which questions the meaning of home and identity and has toured around The Netherlands and Singapore. Until 2025, she was also active with the Zenith Trio (including Mafalda Oliveria of MAAT Saxophone Quartet and Ileana Termini of Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet) who commissioned pieces to young composers based in The Netherlands.
Apart from piano, Elizabeth also pursues an interest in music research and poetry which she ocassionally interweaves into her performances. She is currently Artistic Advisor for PianoFest, a piano festival for amateurs.
Elizabeth is thankful to the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds for the loan of a C. Bechstein piano for the duration of her studies.
